In reading a news article, I discovered that 90% of all people from Mexico who apply for refuge status are denied. One such woman, who asked for refuge status out of fear for her life, was deported 45 days ago, and is now dead from the violence from which she asked refuge from. What does this say for our Canadian belief in Human Rights?
